David M. Kasnic
David brings over 15 years of executive management and a true passion for high growth businesses. His experience in leading Checkers Industrial Safety Products through a rapid growth period, acquiring several companies and selling the company to a private equity group has given him a wealth of knowledge that few operators experience. David started with Checkers in 1999 and earned his way from being hired as a Financial Analyst through roles as Operations Manager, Vice President of Operations, Chief Operating Officer and ultimately President and Board Member. Checkers consistently earned numerous awards as one of the fastest growing companies in Boulder County. He attributes his business success to listening to both internal/external customers, continual innovation, strategizing for growth and hiring key talent.
Outside of work, David is an avid bike rider, Chairman of the Board and Founding Member for the Pediatric Congenital Heart Association and fundraiser for The Children’s Hospital of Colorado. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance/International Business from the University of Tulsa; graduating in 1992.
David J. Kendall
David is the founder and Managing Partner of Kendall, Koenig & Oelsner PC, a transactional business law firm that has been named the Best Place to Work among small companies in Denver twice by the Denver Business Journal. David has extensive experience in mergers and acquisitions, securities and credit finance and has worked with clients ranging from early-stage start-ups to multi-national Fortune 100 companies.
David began his legal career working in New York for Simpson Thacher & Bartlett, an international law firm based in New York, moved to Colorado in 2000 and founded Kendall, Koenig & Oelsner in 2002. David received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in marketing and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Richmond in 1991 and graduated from Duke Law School in 1994.
David is a bicycle racer (road and cyclocross) and coaches youth sports. He is a founding board member of each of the National Alliance for Drug Endangered Children and the Colorado Alliance for Drug Endangered Children. David also serves on the boards of Summit Charter Middle School and Impact on Education—the Foundation for Boulder Valley School District.
Greg Thiesen
Greg Thiesen has been helping companies and people discover their light switch to increase profitability for over 30 years. Greg has served as a C-Level executive for Fortune 50, small and medium size companies. He has developed a strategic/tactical methodology that has proven to drive profitability in various organizations including numerous turnaround situations.
Currently, Greg is the President and CEO for Dimension 5 that helps companies and people discover the light switch to their success. Previously, Greg was the President and CEO of Red Book Solutions. Red Book Solutions is an Inc. 5000 management consulting group that has been “making good managers better” for over 20 years. Red Book Solutions serves over 110,000 locations across the country including McDonalds, Nordstrom, Game Stop and Whole Foods, to name a few. Before joining Red Book Solutions, Greg was the CFO and CIO of ConAgra’s Refrigerated Foods Group. The Refrigerated Foods group was a $16 billion division with over 150 different brand names including Butterball Turkey, Armour, Swift, Pilgrim Pride and Monfort Beef. Greg was a CPA with Ernst and Young and international CPA firm and graduated from the University of Colorado.
